Caterpillar haven

Except the caterpillars are no longer there! They have stripped the nearby twigs of their greenery and have crawled away to find a sheltered spot to spin a cocoon no doubt. Not sure what they are, some sort of moth. The caterpillars are hairless, greenish greyish with little black markings. Whole chunks of the hedges around here are full of these webs.

It nearly rained today - we could see showers over the hills in the distance but not here!

T away off the farm raking grass again all day.
