Alps from Memmingen

On my way home this evening from Memmingen to Ottobeuren had a wonderful view of the alps. I wish I could say which peaks are which but never been good at that. The view is towards Kempten, Obersdorf, Reutte (Austria) so probably one of the peaks is the "Nebelhorn", which has the highest skiing (2224m) in the area.
There seems to be quite a bit of snow lower down but as it got very cool at the weekend & rained/snowed/hailed, it's no wonder.
Although the alps are only about 40km away as the crow flies, we make far too little use of them. Have to rectify this soon - the Nebelhorn cable car starts it's summer season this weekend.
