Beauty and the Beast

A curious insect, antennae quivering as it crawls over the flowers of a Viola, 'Inverurie Beauty', in our garden this evening.

We first came across this plant last year in a garden centre midway between Perth and Dundee, and bought it right away, both for its own fine qualities and for its being named after our nearest town; curiously, we have never seen this plant for sale anywhere in Inverurie.
