The Governor's House

Part of the Calton Jail, demolished to make way for St Andrew's House, the Governor's House sits precariously on the edge of a cliff overlooking Calton Road, just behind Waverley Station. The rings hang down to stop falling rock landing on the road.

So, just to the usual half day at work but one with a bit of silliness. Lunch was a fine chat in TTT with Just Sitting, Ecodad (in passing) and later joined by Tonto before heading off to the Stills course, with a bit of indoors chat and a pleasant wander around Dumbiedykes and up the Radical Road around Arthur's Seat.
