Seals -vs- Seagulls

West Pier, Dun Laoghaire.
The seals couldn't be bothered to hunt for their sustenance.
Who could blame them, people throw fish at them.

The seagulls are green(ish) with envy.

They?ve been frenetically trying to grow cute whiskers.

Who knows, 2567 generations of Irish seagulls down the line, this may be the case.

I won?t be here to witness it. Why is the evolution of the species so goddamn slow.
(This reflection won?t mean a great number of sleepless nights for the sharks, tortoises and other crocodiles?)
