Paint washes for the stream

Last blip was a while ago - I have been busy with work. But this weekend I used some washes to give a little more life to the stream bed. Granted, I will be adding rocks and vegetation that will cover much, but the flat color did not look right. So I used a technique that has worked in the past. First application was a dilute wash of black india ink (a little ink in a lot of 70% isopropyl alcohol). Then a wash of raw umber, then burnt umber, and then raw siena. Finished with another wash of ink and now it looks better. Next step - the rocks.
