Life in Newburgh on Ythan

By Talpa

A gravestone to die for.

An inspired and beautiful contemporary granite gravestone, by Helen Denerley, with a brass and copper relief appliqué in the form of the tree of life in a sinuous style. A mouse, fish, lizard and spider are nestled among the tree's roots and branches. The stone is for the wife of Gerard Rochford, a poet, and stands in the ancient kirkyard of Midmar, Aberdeenshire.
