My Life Is Not Average

Distance

We went to my grandparents' house in the Scottish borders this afternoon and went for a walk, as we usually do when we go there. It was very windy and not the most pleasant experience for about half of the time, but once we had crossed a river and were walking back on the other side we were sheltered by the hills.

One of the things I love most about getting out of the city is the uncluttered landscape and the distance. Even in fairly "beautiful" cities like Edinburgh, everything is just so close and crowded. It's nice to be able to rest your eyes and look at some far away mountains every so often.
