Plaza Grande

Directly outside our hotel is the Plaza Don Vasco de Quiroga, which is busy from sunrise to late in the day. I stood for hours on our balcony overlooking the Plaza and simply watched the people of Pátzcuaro pass by. The mornings consisted of people exercising, throughout the day came the vendors, tourists, and locals taking a break from their day, and the evenings predictably brought hords of young people. They walked the pathways, sat on the many benches, and gathered in the center of the Plaza to be watched over by Don Vasco's likeness.
