down at the duck pond

Yesterday I went for a walk around my new neighbourhood - getting familiar with the lay of the land. Naturally I ended up in Battersea Park.

I got some nice shots - sadly a bit soft - of a shag with wings out to dry, and some classic shots of a swan and her reflection. But this was my favourite from the day. The colour of her hair against the green of the trees beyond, and her relaxed but intent expression as she feeds the ducks and geese.
