Tiny conkers

I walked home from the office - that's from the one in the West End of Edinburgh rather than Gateshead. ;-) Quite a few of the big trees in the private New Town gardens had big scars on them where limbs had been torn off in the recent high winds; there's going to be a lot of remedial work for tree surgeons in the next wee while.

This horse chestnut tree caught my eye as it was already forming tiny conkers before its flowers had completely fallen. That's quite enough autumnal reminders for one day.
