Pebbles on a beach

In September 2010, our family was devastated by the stillbirth of our youngest daughter, Eilidh Beth. It is a pain & a grief that will accompany us through the rest of our lives here on earth, but we wanted to bring something positive out of our family's tragedy. We set up So Go And Run Free (http://www.sogoandrunfree.com) and with Scottish charity SiMBA (Simpson's Memory Box Appeal) we provide memory boxes & knitted items to the main maternity unit & SCBU in the Highlands.

What has this to do with the photo? Well, I've pottered about beaches my whole life, and often made names out of pebbles. So now I write the names of babies & children gone too soon, a wee memorial to their memory on a beach in Scotland. I have many photos of Eilidh Beth's name written in sand, on sidewalks with chalk, on T-shirts, balloons & lanterns ... and each & every one is a blessing to me. Thus I pay it back with Write Their Names in Stone ~ Pebbles On a Beach.

This photo was taken this evening on Nairn beach ~ as you can see we don't get the spetacular sunsets of Hawaii or Australia!!
