National Prayer Breakfast Scotland

What a day! Hard to choose a blip! The Leprosy Mission Scotland's Justice Tour is in full swing, and the day started off with attending the National Prayer Breakfast Scotland in Edinburgh, where this photo was taken. Left to right Dr Yousif Deng, country leader for The Leprosy Mission Sudan, Dr Sunil Anand, country leader for The Leprosy Mission Trust India and General Sir Richard Dannett, former head of the British Army and the main speaker at the event. Fascinating man, such an interesting speaker. After the Prayer Breakfast we stayed on for the seminar, which was really an interview with him. As well as Yousif and Sunil, we also had Sunil's wife, Dr. Shyamala Anand and two children, Yeuk Ming Poon, country leader for The Leprosy Mission China and Laos and Dr. Jean Pierre Brechet, country leader for The Leprosy Mission Angola with us, though Yeuk Ming left for London mid morning. After the seminar we headed onto the Royal Mile for a prayer meeting with Edinburgh supporters at Carrubbers Church, then took a late lunch break before heading for the Scottish Parliament, where Sunil, Yousif and Jean Pierre addressed the Cross Party Group on International Development, and then we had a reception for supporters and volunteers hosted by the lovely Patricia Ferguson MSP. Absolutely wiped out by the end of the day, but a great success.
