Cafe Life

Inside the Casino, Cadaques where we drove after dropping DD's brother off at Girona Airport.   It's probably the first ever day visit we've made to Cadaques (as opposed to staying over) and this combined with the unseasonal cold and wind (I have the newspaper stuck up the front of my thin jersey for warmth!), makes for a slightly surreal experience.   And the original oil paintings by well known artists casually hung on the cafe wall, adds to that sense, especially the one centre bottom of Cadaques by the Japanese artist Koyama, a long term resident of the place who brings his feel for Japanese landscape painting to bear on the hills, bays and rocks of this section of the Costa Brava.   We have one at home and love the peace it brings.

Wish I had had the big cam with me!
