We survived the terrible storms yesterday. For us it was just a string of horrific thunderstorms with driving rain and an electrified night sky. Several homes were struck and damaged by fires in a neighboring town, but it was nothing compared with the damage west of us. Springfield was literally turned upside down by tornadoes. A mix of warm humid air, and upper level swirling winds stirred up the rare weather event for Massachusetts. People are in shock and wandering through the damage, an official disaster area.
