Today's the day ..................... to look closely

There's really nothing worse than having to work on a blisteringly hot day. I just managed a quick walk round the block at lunch time and everywhere you looked there were people enjoying themselves in the sun. People (and dogs) were paddling in the river, eating ice creams, lying on the grass and generally chilling. I half-heartedly snapped a few shots, all the while feeling pretty hard done by.

It was only later, when I looked closely at this marguerite, that I saw the amazing colours and structure of its centre. A bit of a bonus at the end of a hard working day .....................
