A Sasanach's Skye photos

Oronsay

A couple following the path to the highest point of Oronsay. Most people think in terms of The Isle of Skye. But both the inner and the outer hebrides are made up of many islands. Oronsay is an island in its own right but is connected to Skye by a causeway that gets flooded on a high spring tide.

Oronsay has always been one of my favourite places to take a walk. I love climbing to its highest point and enjoying the grand views over Loch Bracadale and Loch Harport.

I love being on the pure white beach exposed on the causeway at low tide. I love it all especially when the sun shines as it did this afternoon.
