Land Undeveloped

Not a very edifying blip, I admit, but this piece of paved property on a main street near the center of Northampton has intrigued me for a while, with the matrix of grass that has taken it over.

It's a small portion of a huge parking area--now entirely empty and at least 20 times larger than what you see here. It belonged to a Honda dealer, although they never used even half of of the area, until they abandoned it perhaps 3 to 4 years ago (their building still stands, some 75 meters behind us along the road). If you view the blip large, you'll see a fragment of a Golden Arch (McDonald's) above the far end of the sidewalk.

Although the realty company offering the property is evidently called First Land Development, the sign seems to put it pretty much last among their priorities.
