A Sasanach's Skye photos

St. Mary's Church, Dunvegan

Clare and I collected our wall baskets from Skye Shrubs Nursery and fastened them to the wall this morning so Harbour View now looks much more summery. We enjoyed coffee with our neighbours before heading off to Dunvegan to do the 'Two Churches Walk'.

We parked the van close to St. Mary's which is the start of the walk. The path leads up onto the hill and follows the old road to Dunvegan Castle. We were lucky to have some sunsine. The path across the top is lovely.

Later the path leads down the hill through mixed woodland and the option is to continue on to the Castle. We however continued on the lower return path where unfortunately the ground is much wetter. Eventually the path comes out by the newer Dunvegan Church which boasts the highest pulpit in any church in Scotland.

We enjoyed being out and away from Harbour View. After we collected the van we went to Dunvegan Bakery where we enjoyed a late lunch before returning Home. It has been a great day.
