It's not uncommon to see people sleeping at lunchtime. In fact, it's so common that before I stopped to take this shot, I'd already considered five other groups of sleepers for today's blip.

The usual place to sleep is in the work's van. Two guys asleep in the front, two guys asleep in the back. A loner is lucky because they can wind down the window, lie across the whole seat, and stick his feet out the window to catch the breeze on a hot summer's day.

Taxi drivers are notorious for stopping for a quick power nap during the lull. Seat back, air con or cooler on, job's a good un'. It is, however, illegal to keep the engine running while parked, so it's best to sleep with one eye open, just in case P.C. Plod comes along.
