Signs Of The Season

I think I have said in past posts that it is hot in Zihuatanejo at this time of year. Many area businesses take advantage of the slower pace to close for a few weeks or months. Even beach-front restaurants, like Elviras where we often stopped in for a sunset glass of wine, has shuttered for awhile. In true Mexico fashion, there is no sign giving details, just tables and chairs stacked in a corner waiting for the return of the tourists. We only know the details because the gentleman who helped us complete the police report on my stolen camera is part owner of the restaurant and filled us in on what was going on. That also seems to be a Mexican trait, especially in a small town, you find out what is going on from someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows the scoop or you talk direct to the owner.
