Summer color

Finally some sun after a weekend of grey skies and rain! We had a great weekend though, celebrating Marks birthday.

Yesterday afternoon, Mark dug out his old Legos, back from the 70's when he was maybe just a bit older than Jack. He stored everything he built back then very carefully....rocketships, spaceships, snowmobiles. Jack is having so much fun playing with them, even taking one up to his room last night to keep on his nightstand while he slept.

This is Jacks last week of school....an assembly tomorrow where he will sing with his classmates "It's a wonderful School" (sung to "It's a wonderful life"). There is a 'watermelon social' on Thursday and Friday is his last day. Off to Kindergarten in September!!

funny, I was just looking at my 'one year ago' picture below and saw the Momma turkey that was in our yard....yesterday, I saw another (or maybe the same?) Momma turkey and her babies walking through the yard again! I guess they really stick to a schedule!
