A Canterbury Tail

By Canterbury

State Highway 73

After spending a few days of Easter in Christchurch, watching Jack Johnson, the rugby and catching up with friends. We loaded up the van, attached the kayaks and headed for the West Coast, Specifically Hokitika (again).

The blip is of the main road West from Christchurch (one of only two possible routes West) on Easter Sunday. Gotta hate these crowded long weekends.

We arrived in Hokitika in time for Cousteau to go for a run down the beach and roll in something unspeakable. Seeing as he was sharing a campervan with us Barking had the lovely job of washing him. It was felt that I might have drowned him if I had been in charge of the scrubbing. We had forgotten to bring his shampoo so he spent the rest of the weekend smelling of my shower gel, Radox for Men. A huge improvement on what he did smell of.
