A chef's day...

Paella for the whole village

I arrived in Spain today and we went for a walk in Calella. On the thursday is San Jordi which is a local fiesta day on which they use lots of fireworks. I don't know much more about it. But I think this had something to do with it too. They cooked these 2 massive paellas and served (sold) them to the villagers. It looked very impressive! I didn't have any so I can't comment on how it tasted.

I did have a nice Spanish Tapas lunch and for dinner I had a 'broodje frikadel met mayonnaise' and 'patatje pinda met'. Typical Dutch fast food which these days when I want it I eat it in Spain! It's quite amazing the amount of Dutch, English, German and other bars in all the tourist areas!
