Fings wot I see

Red Riding Hood 3

Faster and faster she ran, half falling, half scrambling over dead leaves and branches. Sharp pine needles stung at her face as the branches whipped past.
She ran until she could no longer breathe and finally had to stop and catch her breath. She strained to listen past the enveloping darkness but all was still.

She started to walk again in what she hoped was the right direction, as she was no longer sure exactly where she was; nothing followed her or broke the eerie silence. Just as she was scolding herself for being silly and imagining the whole thing she realised what was so unsettling; For the first time she realised that the forest was completely still. None of the familiar, gentle rustles and hoots could be heard; nothing moved, and her solitary footsteps suddenly seemed deafeningly loud.

After a few minutes she found herself by the river, relieved that she now knew where she was, she did not immediately notice she was not alone.
A very pale and handsome man was standing by the giant oak. He bowed his head and said in a very deep, dry voice

"A good evening to you"

Ruby had always been brought up to be polite, whatever the circumstances, so she curtsied and said

"How do you do"

The man smiled and Ruby blushed, despite herself.

"My name is Faelan. It's very late for such a tender young girl to be out walking alone, allow me to escort you to wherever your going, then perhaps you will join me for dinner?"

Still trying to be well mannered but feeling more and more nervous, Ruby replied

"Well, I'm on my way to see my Bamummy and I will be staying there for dinner, but thank you anyway"

"What a great pity. I am so very, very hungry and I think you are the only one who can help me with this "

Ruby started to try and move off but the man stepped in from of her

"I don't mean to be rude, but I'm afraid I don't think I can accept no for an answer"

He stepped in closer and again he smiled. This time Ruby noticed how dirty his teeth were and he didn't seem quite so charming anymore.
Ruby was starting to lose her temper, she had been polite now she was going to be firm.

"Well I'm very sorry but I really must be on my way"

And she stepped around him with a great stride forward.
In a flash of lightening speed he sprung and was half on top of her before she even realised he had moved...

I've probably spent more time on this than any other project. I've been prepping this for a couple of weeks, dressed my set, did all my light tests and performed all my post production on test shots with all presets and artwork saved so I could put these straight up. I'm going to do one of these every day this week, hope you like them :)
