Basking Seals

A change in the weather again - woke up to howling gales and sheeting rain so sat and read for an hour or two then decided to watch a DVD of The King's Speech, eating lunch during the second half.

By mid-afternoon, before cabin fever set in and because I needed a blip, we set off to the shops then up to Haroldswick, where we had seen seals earlier in the week. They didn't seem to mind the foul weather at all.

Out in the wilds, on the way back, we passed a lady walking in pouring rain and offered a lift: she was aiming for Baltasound but was still a long way off so we were glad to help find her destination before the search party was called out.

Soon we were back in the warm and dry - and stayed there.

Backblipped after return from holiday.
