Backblipped for 1st June

The coastline is heavily eroded here with geos and stacks much in evidence. This photo shows layers of lava flows with the core of the volcano that produced them way out on the distant horizon.

As you see, the sun is shining; a little over an hour later we were crouched down while heavy rain battered our waterproofs, before the weather dried up again for us to continue the walk.
