King's College

Today's the day ......................... to ponder the elite

This is King's College, Cambridge - a truly magificent building - familiar to most people because of the Carol Service that is broadcast from there every Christmas. The perfect green lawns (only walked on by college fellows) run down to the river where you can watch the punts peacefully gliding by - an idyllic scene.

This peace and tranquility seems a world apart from the very peculiar academic 'bubble' that is Cambridge University. Privileged, elitist - a hothouse for the forcing of intellectual and academic achievement. An environment which will be experienced by a tiny percentage of the world at large.

Today it was just a very pleasant place to enjoy the sunshine and take in the very english sights ....................
