Perfect backstroke

Second time I'm typing the write-up. Better save this one before sending it off.

Nienke has been struggling with her swimming lessons lately. Coordination between legs and arms proved to be very difficult for her. We arranged some extra swimming lessons for Nienke in the outdoor swimming pool in our village. Very cold at times, but it has one major advantage: the group is very small so there is lots of attention for Nienke. She really likes this and she is very determined to get her diploma as lots of girls in her class in school already have theirs. Peer pressure, even with seven year old girls...

The extra effort is paying off: her technique has improved and she's getting really strong in both her arms and her legs. Today was a regular swimming lesson in the indoor swimming pool and this is Nienke working on her backstroke with great concentration. Her instructor thinks she is now ready to advance to the next level; well done Nienke!

It's still a mystery to me why the kids nowadays have to learn so much more than I had to when I was young. When she has her diploma, Nienke will be a far better swimmer than I ever was. I explained this to Nienke and this has improved her confidence even further :-)
