Just Like Honey - The Jesus and Mary Chain

A fantastic night at Optimo followed by a day of recovery today. The music was brilliant as ever. Due to the fact it was Jan's birthday there were friends of hers there who had never been before and didn't have a clue what to expect. Judging by the huge grins on their faces at the end they enjoyed it.

There were only two slight disappointments firstly, because of the clocks going back, we lost an hour and it finished at two o'clock rather than three and secondly the opening few bars of today's song came on but the whole thing never got played and instead it mixed into 'You got the love' by Candi Stanton instead.

Just like honey is a classic though. Roz and I have tried suggesting to Keith from Optimo that it would mix quite well with Atmosphere by Joy Division but as far as I'm aware it's not a mix he's played in Edinburgh so far despite both tracks being played in the same night before.

Only one day left of March music blips now and I'm looking forward to getting back to normal.
