Ben Lawers Dam

As ever, when we're in a strange place, we get the early morning wake-up call from Arlo. Dragging him into bed with us doesn't really work as he usually ends up horizontal, hogging all the space.

We took a drive around the area to see what the countryside held for us, with the idea of winding our way down into Aberfeldy to stock up on provisions. We drove up Glen Lyon, across this tiny country road past Ben Lawers, along the banks of Loch Tay and onto Aberfeldy. Stunning scenery as you'd expect from rural Perthshire.

In Aberfeldy we paid a visit to the brilliant Watermill cafe and bookshop. Lovely tea and cakes and a great variety of books. I picked up a copy of The Bicycle Book by Bella Bathurst, the author of the excellent Lighthouse Stevensons (and the equally good The Wreckers).

Back home Arlo was full of chuckles and we all had a dance round to this.
