A bitter wind lashed at my face as I briskly walked across the bridge - it was so cold, heavy showers battling with the sun - neither wanting to give in to the other. At last the sun won but had lost all of its warmth while the heavy clouds lingered, hovering and teasing as the wind continued to lash out and have the final say.
Another view of the Kaiapoi River taken this morning when there was a small pocket of sun, but there was little temperature to our day - winter is here.
A day of washing, a few little houses jobs and washing dishes by hand. A few phone calls from Daughter A, she'll be home later this week - can't wait to see her!! I've been feeling cold all day - time to put another log on the fire and very soon draw the curtains.
Its been a great weekend - hope yours was to :)
