Playing With Shadows

"Foxtrot-7-3, you are clear to land"

Stopped by the side of the road today to take some photos of the bind-weed flowers growing in the hedge, and then I spotted the hoverflies popping in and out of the flowers and decided they would make a much more interesting subject, and a bit more of a challenge as the whizzed about. I think Sikorsky must have been looking at hoverflies when he invented the helicopter, they're so amazingly maneuverable and agile. They're also incredibly well camouflaged, in spite of being bright yellow and black, since most animals (any many humans) see the colours and think "Eek, a wasp!", even though they are completely harmless.
