Maine 'munk

Dory: Come on, trust me on this one.
Marlin: Trust you?
Dory: Yes, trust, it's what friends do. -- Finding Nemo

Another morning with thick fog burning away to hazy sun. I made friends with a pale Maine chipmunk and had a nice early morning photo stroll in the wet grass with my wellies. We had a wonderful day yesterday, a 4th of July fundraiser BBQ in nearby Cutler, a beautiful coastal town. Small town holiday flavor with food & folk, it was fabulous. After the meal we watched sack and three-legged races on the lawn of a local, sprawling home. Excited kids and old fashioned fun.

The cat truce continues. Raspberry is up to her old tricks, we have a Bose Wave radio at home that she often sits on and somehow sets the clock alarm. We have the same model here and at 6AM this morning I was awakened to the buzzing downstairs. Both cats were sitting side by side at the top of the stairs, troubled together by the offending noise. He is now on his favorite Maine perch, an old velvet piano stool, peacefully sleeping. It's his first time cozied up there for this trip, so we know he's calm. She is directly across from him tucked into her cat-case, her absolutely bestest bed ever.

For the Record,
This day came in foggy, with sun breaking through. Cool, but slightly humid still.
