Wildflowers

A real change in the weather today, chillier, cloudier and much, much windier. Found a nice little niche in the edge at the top of the cliff, sunny and sheltered from the wind and hunkered down to enjoy the view. Sat for ages, watching the gulls and the waves and Ollie and Lucas chasing each other and doing suicidal vertical dashes up and down the grassy cliff edges! And incredibly, it was actually warm!

The variety of flowers and grasses growing along the headland is huge. From my sheltered little spot I could see vetches, bird foot trefoil, buttercups, eyebright, tormentil, red and white clovers, hawkweed, thistles, cow parsley and lots of little whie flowers that I don't know the names of!

Did a big house clean today too - sort of a belated spring clean. Been ignoring house work because of the lovely weather! It really needed tackling, but thankfully, only having five small rooms makes it very quick and easy!
