Rodents rule

A perfect day

There's a rumour of snow so we made the most of today's sunshine, heading by train out to the South Downs. We walked from Hassocks to Lewes, passing one Victorian rail tunnel built like a fortress, two windmills, several bearded dogs, many horses, sheep and cows, rabbits and one kestrel. Along the main ridge of the Downs, two silvery-white gliders silently rode the thermals, steathily surprising us (sometimes at eye level) as they elegantly danced their way to and fro. Amazing!
