Grainy, rainy day man

All was silent as before -
All silent save the dripping rain.
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Max is celebrating his 15th birthday!

We who don't watch much TV here or listen to the weather were surprised by heavy rain this morning. After a big cowgirl breakfast(eggs, homefries, Canadian bacon & toast) we're happy to see the skies clearing some. We're headed to South Lubec,( LOubec) for a celebration at the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse. The town is celebrating their 200th Anniversary and we'll check out the open house at the light. The light is perched on the eastern most part of the States with views of the Atlantic Canadian island of Grand Manan My great great grandfather, Ebenezer Wormell was a keeper at the light in the late 1850s.
