Early

I awakened at 4 and instead of just thinking about a book I am reading, Truth and Beauty by Ann Pachett, I read. This is an account of one of the more intense friendships I have read of, and Ms Patchett who is an accomplished novelist somehow managed her own life and writing process within the framework of this demanding relationship. It really has me thinking of friendship, the kinds and levels and ebb and flow and their importance in our lives.

Then I realized that dawn was passing and looked out to see this early light on the lake and the shoreline on the west side of Lake Union. So I walked to the end of the dock and got this kind of violet tinged shot. The day has been grey but it has not rained!
