The flower I never planted...

Seriously, I never planted this flower. It began growing this spring and since I had no idea what it was, I never pulled it out. When we left last Tuesday for a vacation, it looked like it might flower while we were gone. Upon our arrival home on Sunday, there were several of these sunshiney, bright, and beautiful flowers!

I looked around online and discovered it is a coneflower. My parents have some of these, so perhaps seeds came along when I planted Calendula seeds around the area last year. Hopefully, this plant will reseed itself and give me more of these flowers next year...I love them!
