The way I see it.

The Deschutes River.

Sandra and I went out at 8:45am this morning to have a walk before breakfast and enjoyed it so much that we stayed out until 12 noon and then went straight out for lunch! We went up the Deschutes River which has a wonderful walking trail. There were people out walking, running, rowing, paddle boarding and there was even one man swimming in the icey waters of the river!

The temperature was up in the 70's which is relatively cool for Central Oregon at this time of year and the river consists mostly of snow melt from the mountains which still have snow on the peaks. The air was fragrant with juniper and sage brush and it was perfect for walking. Lunch at MacKay cottage (more delicious food!) was followed by a little light shopping and then swimming in the town's open air pool.

A perfect day.
