Maybe Canoe Skydiving was a bad idea!

Well we got up just before three in the morning and after much messing about on my part we scooped up the little ones and headed up to Granny and Grandpa.

Our plan was go in the night and the little ones would sleep and not be ill. Well we were half right. The new tablets seem to work as Toddler was not unwell. Sleepwise well we may have left at anytime.

No sooner were they in the car were both Baby and Toddler wide awake and after thirty minutes we got our first "Are we there yet" from Toddler.
AOn the hour mark the pint or so of coffee I had drank in preparation of our journey was taking its toll and so we stopped for a Daddy comfort break. This seemed to be a good thing as the change in movement somehow made both children fall asleep moments later.

Wife and I enjoyed the peace and maybe got too confident as an hour later we stopped again for more coffee relief (Wife & Daddy this time) at which point both little ones woke, they were not to sleep again for the rest of the journey. That said they did really well and we got to out scenic destination in time for breakfast and a sleep.

Not long after arrival Toddler went for a walk around the village with Granny. When she came back she was asked if she saw anyone. She replied "We saw everyone", she is quite the socialite it would appear.

After a snooze I saw Grandpa's blip and headed out to the same vantage point to give the bonfire some more exposure.

In preparent days Wife and I would often Kayak, though I may have lost my touch somewhat.

Top tip of the day dont sit in half a canoe on an ants nest, they get in your pants and bite your arse!
