or ducklings as they are in English. This was today's big "awwwww" moment which came at the end of a very nice walk round the Hafen. Bit worried about the Storks though. No evidence of anyone home and the nest looking a bit ragged. I shall pursue this tomorrow.

Today's "ewwwwww" moment or perhaps today's laugh out loud moment came courtesy of my continued study of German. The German verb for "to fail" is durchfallen, the German word for diarrhoea is der Durchfall. I laughed. It doesn't take much to make me happy.

Other news involves Schule and a minor breakthrough with my Mitschülerin (female classmate) - she finally seems to have understood that the brother of my father is my uncle. The rest of the class was just a joy. I now have three weeks off from proper classes but three weeks to make my own discoveries. It feels good.

Heard this again last night and really liked it.
