Marjorie's ramblings

By walkingMarj

What is new?

After a week away on holiday I came home today. It's always nice to come home, even after a great holiday. I walked around the garden this evening - in between the "showers" of torrential rain - to see what had come into bloom in my absence. The astilbes are opening nicely and they look lovely along the north facing wall.

The hostas are nearly all in flower. The cerinthes are flowering profusely.

What is unchanged? The runner beans still have no flowers. The wisteria has not flowered this year. The hedgehog comes every evening for food. Lots of other things are unchanged and most provide a sense of continuity and equilibrium.

Tomorrow is the beginning of the return to the "real" world.............
