The Lozarithm Lens

Smokey 1507 hr

When I went into the porch this morning, Smokey sprang from his basket and hurled himself through the cat flap into the lashing rain and hid under a chair. It wasn't the reaction I was expecting. I don't know what got into him, but he came back when I called him and had his breakfast. He spent most of the day in the porch, in his wicker basket, sprawled across the mat or on my desktop. He roused himself from his nap long enough to pose for me this afternoon, the third Saturday in a row he has provided me with a blip.
