The Days of My Life

And, They're Gone

As I do every morning, unless it's rained, I went outside to water my zucchini and tomato plants. I watered and examined the zucchini first. Lots of flowers (because I have protective milk crates over them) but no sign of baby zukes. Then, I turned my attention to the tomatoes, searching for the rapidly-growing duo I photographed for my first journal entry. Gasp--they're gone! The only sign of their existence are the two stems that used to hold them, neatly-snipped by the sharp teeth of a rodent. Fences and repellants haven't worked, so I am planning to build something to enclose the entire area. Where can one purchase bullet-proof glass?
