Fairy Circle

I know this is not a great picture, but I was just so amazed to get any kind of shot, I felt I had to include it.

Most of my photos are just point and shoot ones, and with a really interesting, well lit subject I can get some pretty nice shots. But then who couldn't! So when I actually start spinning the dials and making the camera do some work I tend to be disproportionately pleased with the results.

This was taken at the end of a cloudy day, when it was starting to get pretty dark. I'm standing under a very dense canopy of leaves, shooting into the remaining light. I was there for quite some time and don't entirely remember what eventually worked. I suppose if I'm going to learn more I need to start remembering that kind of stuff!
