After a very frustrating day, card proofs finally arrived at 2pm, but only for the square ones --aargh!!! enough is enough - caution has been thrown to the wind and we've given the go ahead for printing, we headed off to the airport. A three hour delay awaited us and as we boarded a chap with a very small toolkit was tinkering under a wing - not very reassuring. Upon arrival, we hired a car and got seriously lost heading for my brother's place, ending up on the M60 rather than the M56. We finally arrived stressed and spaced out around 1am and had a strong cuppa on his roof garden!
This is the rather lovely view from the passenger lounge at cork airport. Having just witnessed the horror that is Manchester airport I now greatly appreciate Cork's bucolic sights and smells! it is build on the wettest and foggiest spot in Ireland but the chips are good and there's no messing around. Aer Lingus have a rather jolly livery and all the planes are named after saints, which is rather reassuring - St Eithne today.
