Moreton Bay Storm

This is a view from Pandanus Beach and Wynnum Pier of a storm cell passing over Moreton Island. That would make it about 35 km away. Such a shame my 300D will only take a 30sec exposure. The lightning storm was spectacular. It is a bit late in the season for storms. The direction it came from was slightly unusual too. With that combination I knew it would be a good night for a storm blip.

I would have gotten out a little earlier but I had to get dinner on. Making the effort to shoot own to the Espalade to capture this made my day. Photography is about grabbing the moment while it lasts. I think I did that tonight.
