Friendly Robin

Today, the first day of tour, is generally quiet till the youngsters arrive. We have moved several items of furniture from one lodge to another to create eating, teaching and chilling spaces. The mini buses have been collected from Inverness, controls have been hung in Achlean for tomorrow's training and Christine and Arthur have begun the mammoth food preparation for 44 individuals! Juniors have now arrived via car, train and plane. They have made beds, handed over a yummy variety of cakes and are presently getting to know each other via the mediums (media?) of football and walking around giggling (I'll leave you to assign gender to those two groups). In half an hour we will eat and then it will be evening briefing and the tour proper begins.

In the quiet moments between tasks today I have spotted red squirrel, hare and this friendly chap who was quite happy to get up close.
