Maroon Bells in Aspen Colorado

The view of these two peaks, both over 14,000 feet, is reputed to be the "most photographed spot in Colorado". The mountains are composed of granite and limestone and to climbers they are known as "The Deadly Bells" because of the loose unstable rock where in 1965 eight climbers died in five separate accidents. They may be deadly to some, but they were just picture perfect to me!
